August’s Oyster Social will feature the dynamic duo behind Sardine Head, the beloved Natural Wine Bar and Restaurant in North Portland.
This collaboration feels like a long time coming. With our mutual love of simple flavors, stellar ingredients, hardworking farmers and vintners and all the little fishes in the sea, we feel a special kinship with Liz (she’s food) and Simon (he’s wine).
Liz will be sharing a thoughtful selection of dishes (scroll down for menu!) that honor Breton food traditions, focusing on the beauty and simplicity of seafood, heirloom vegetables and heritage pig for tastefully simple, compelling and flavorful dishes made from scratch.
Simon will be on hand to pour intriguing wines from the organic and experimental vintners he champions, telling the stories of these natural wine vignerons and farmers who tirelessly work the land to share their craft with us.
As usual, we’ll be shucking a selection of fresh PNW oysters to complement their lovely offerings. It’s going to be a fun and festive confluence of terrior meets merrior with a global accent and plenty of local bounty from land and sea.
No reservations necessary, just drop by 5-9pm for a la carte ordering and restaurant-style seating. Hope to see you at the table, friends!
