As part of the Shuck Portland series of events, we’re so pleased to welcome Chef Maylin Chávez—fellow Shuck cofounder and owner of Olympia Oyster Bar—as guest chef for our monthly Oyster Social!
Like us, Chef Maylin is truly passionate about oysters and sustainable seafood. Her highly personal approach to oyster and seafood cookery draws deeply from her Mexican heritage, her global travels and a desire to surprise, delight and inspire guests with each dish she prepares.
Come enjoy a convivial evening, filled with west coast oysters and Chef Maylin’s thoughtfully crafted and wildly delicious dishes brimming with the sunny flavors of Mexico (see her gorgeous menu below!), plus lovely wines and tequila and mezcal drinks flowing from the bar. We’re proud that a portion of proceeds will directly benefit Shuck Portland charitable partners WEBS and The Wetland Conservancy.
For all of those missing Chef Maylin’s beautiful food while she searches for a new Portland location, this is a great evening to be reunited and learn more about the coastal oyster bar she’ll be opening at Nevør Shellfish Farms in the late spring—all while dining for a good cause!
