Eclade de Moules at Cooper Mountain Vineyards

  • Cooper Mountain Vineyards 17770 Northeast Calkins Lane Newberg, OR, 97132 United States (map)

Dine, wine and brine amongst the vines at a trailblazing organic and biodynamic winery.

Join us at Cooper Mountain Vineyard’s Newberg estate in the heart of the Chehalem Mountains AVA for an outdoor live fire dining experience paired with biodynamic wines.

We'll bring the fire and brine, featuring an entirely pescatarian menu with an emphasis on locally harvested seafood, including fresh Pacific oysters, mussels, clams, albacore tuna, and bay shrimp, all paired beautifully with Cooper Mountain rosé bubbles, crisp whites, and Pinots that tell the story of the surrounding vines.

At the heart of this gathering will be our PNW take on the French coastal tradition known as Éclade de Moules. Watch the fragrant steam billow skyward as we roast plump mussels over the open flame. Perfumed with pine boughs and rosemary, these mussels are piney, briny, smoky, and utterly delicious—one of our absolute favorite ways to enjoy mussels.

The format for this event will be more dynamic, with stations for interactive appetizers and wine, an oyster bar, and room for mingling and live fire cooking, followed by a seated portion of the meal featuring big steamy pans of fregola sarda with clams, garlic, white wine and herbs, a gorgeous spring salad, crusty bread, and a little something sweet.
